Traducción

Dharmaraja, smiling, said to the troubled Virata, stricken by the news about the Kurus: "O king, if Brihannada is the charioteer, today the enemies will not carry off your cows. Your son, guided by such a charioteer, is able in battle to defeat all kings together with the Kurus, and the gods, asuras, yakshas, and nagas as well." Then swift messengers, sent by Uttara, reached Viratanagara and announced the victory: "All the cows have been recovered, the Kurus are defeated, Uttara is safe together with his charioteer, o destroyer of foes." Kanka said: "Fortunately your cows are won back and the Kurus defeated. Fortunately it is heard that your son lives, o best of kings. I do not consider it strange that your son defeated the Kurus: victory is certain for one whose charioteer is Brihannada."
