Traducción

Seeing that chief of the Daityas, Keshini addressed him with these words: "Which are higher, O Virochana — the brahmanas or the sons of Diti? And why should Sudhanvan not sit upon the couch?" Virochana said: "Descending from Prajapati himself, we, O Keshini, are the best and highest of all beings, and this world, without doubt, belongs to us. Who are the gods, and who are the brahmanas?" Keshini said: "We, O Virochana, shall remain right here, in this very pavilion. Sudhanvan will come here tomorrow and let me see you both seated together." Virochana said: "O lovely and timid maiden, I shall do as you say. You will see Sudhanvan and me meet in the morning." Vidura continued: "When the night had passed and the solar disc had risen, Sudhanvan, O best of kings, approached the place where, O lord, Virochana was waiting with Keshini. And Sudhanvan there beheld both Prahlada's son and Keshini. And seeing the brahmana who had come, Keshini, O bull of Bharata's race, rising from her seat, offered him a seat, water for washing his feet, and the arghya.
