Traducción

This, O son of Pandu, is yet further proof that they will never make peace with you. They caused you such grievous pain, forcing you to wear the kaupina, that not even remorse could touch them. Before the eyes of Grandsire Bhishma, of Drona, of wise Vidura, of many holy brahmanas, of the king, of the citizens, and of all the chief Kauravas, the cruel Duryodhana, having deceitfully defeated you at dice — you, who are merciful, gentle, restrained, virtuous, and bound by strict vows — felt no shame, O king, for his vile deed. Show no compassion, O king, toward this wretch of such a character. They deserve death at the hands of everyone, but how much more so at yours, O Bharata? O Bharata, with what unseemly words did Duryodhana and his brothers, filled with glee and indulging in endless boasting, torment you and your brothers! He said: 'The Pandavas now have nothing of their own on this vast earth. Their very names and lineage have perished. In time without end, defeat awaits them. All their virtues have merged into me, and now they will be reduced to the five elements.' While the game of dice was underway, the wretched Duhshasana, most evil of soul, seizing that weeping lady by the hair, dragged Princess Draupadi, as though she had no protector, into the assembly of kings, and in the presence of Bhishma, Drona, and the others repeatedly called her — 'cow, cow!'
