सिन्धुराजस्य यत् कृत्यं गतस्य यमसादनम् ॥
तत् करोतु वृथादृष्टिर् धार्तराष्ट्रो ऽनुपायवित् ॥

'Whatever must be done for the king of Sindhu, already gone to the abode of Yama — let that be done by this vainly-seeing son of Dhritarashtra, who knows no true means.'

A bitter verdict on Duryodhana: 'vṛthādṛṣṭiḥ... anupāyavit,' 'vainly-seeing, knowing no means.' Jayadratha, for them, is already 'gatasya yamasādanam,' gone to Yama — doomed. It is telling that even his own men consider Duryodhana a blind man without true paths. The verse teaches that a wrongful leader sees 'in vain': having eyes, he does not see true means and leads everyone to ruin; and care for saving one doomed by wrongdoing is futile — for what has been decreed by fate and by the Lord cannot be averted by any 'means' of blind obstinacy.
