सर्वशस्त्रातिगौ सेनां प्रविष्टौ रथसत्तमौ ॥
दृष्ट्वा कां वै धृतिं युद्धे प्रत्यपद्यन्त मामकाः ॥
दृष्ट्वा कृष्णं तु दाशार्हम् अर्जुनार्थे व्यवस्थितम् ॥
शिनीनाम् ऋषभं चैव मन्ये शोचन्ति पुत्रकाः ॥
दृष्ट्वा सेनां व्यतिक्रान्तां सात्वतेनार्जुनेन च ॥
पलायमानांश् च कुरून् मन्ये शोचन्ति पुत्रकाः ॥

sarvaśastrātigau senāṃ praviṣṭau rathasattamau ||
dṛṣṭvā kāṃ vai dhṛtiṃ yuddhe pratyapadyanta māmakāḥ ||
dṛṣṭvā kṛṣṇaṃ tu dāśārham arjunārthe vyavasthitam ||
śinīnām ṛṣabhaṃ caiva manye śocanti putrakāḥ ||
dṛṣṭvā senāṃ vyatikrāntāṃ sātvatenārjunena ca ||
palāyamānāṃś ca kurūn manye śocanti putrakāḥ ||

Traducción

Having seen the two who had surpassed all weaponry, the best of charioteers, entering the army — what steadfastness in battle could my warriors have found? And having seen Krishna Dasharha, stationed for Arjuna's sake, and the bull of the Shini clan, I deem my dear sons grieve. Having seen the army breached by Satvata and Arjuna, and the Kurus fleeing, I deem my dear sons grieve.
