कौवान् हितान् र्वान् गोग्रहार्थे मातान्
यो ऽयन् त्स्यरे दिष्ट्या पार्थः जीति
काकेस्राणि तुर्द हाणे
यो ऽधीद् भुवीर्ये दिष्ट्या पार्थः जीति
न्धर्वराजं लिनं दुर्योकृते वै
जिवान् यो ऽस्त्रवीर्ये दिष्ट्या पार्थः जीति
किरीमाली वाञ् श्वेताश्वः कृष्णसाथिः
प्रियश् तं दिष्ट्या जीति ल्गुनः

yo 'jayan matsyanagare diṣṭyā rthaḥ sa vati ||
lakeyasahasrāṇi caturdaśa maraṇe ||
yo 'vadhīd bhujaryeṇa diṣṭyā rthaḥ sa vati ||
gandharvajaṃ balinaṃ duryodhanakṛtena vai ||
jitan yo 'straryeṇa diṣṭyā rthaḥ sa vati ||
kiṭa balañ śveśvaḥ kṛṣṇarathiḥ ||
mama priyaś ca satataṃ diṣṭyā vati phalgunaḥ ||

"He who overcame all the Kauravas, united, gathered together in the cattle raid in the city of Matsya — by good fortune, that Partha lives. He who slew fourteen thousand Kalakeyas in a great battle by the strength of his arms — by good fortune, that Partha lives. He who overcame the mighty king of the Gandharvas, brought about by Duryodhana's doing, by the strength of his weapons — by good fortune, that Partha lives."
