यत् तु कुत्सयसे योधान् युध्यमानान् यथाबलम् ॥
अत्र ते वर्णयिष्यामि यथा युद्धम् अवर्तत ॥
दृष्ट्वा कर्णं तु पुत्रास् ते भीमसेनपराजितम् ॥
नामृष्यन्त महेष्वासाः सोदर्याः पञ्च मारिष ॥
दुर्मर्षणो दुःसहश् च दुर्मदो दुर्धरो जयः ॥
पाण्डवं चित्रसंनाहास् तं प्रतीपम् उपाद्रवन् ॥

atra te varṇayiṣyāmi yathā yuddham avartata ||
dṛṣṭvā karṇaṃ tu putrās te bhīmasenaparājitam ||

durmarṣaṇo duḥsahaś ca durmado durdharo jayaḥ ||
pāṇḍavaṃ citrasaṃnāhās taṃ pratīpam upādravan ||

"But in that you revile the warriors fighting to the best of their strength -- of this I shall tell you, how the battle unfolded. But, having seen Karna defeated by Bhimasena, your sons, the great archers, could not endure it, five brothers of one womb, o venerable one: Durmarshana and Duhsaha, Durmada, Durdhara, Jaya, clad in dappled armor, rushed headlong against that Pandava."
