पूर्वम् एव हि कृष्णस्य मनोगतम् इदं प्रभो ॥
विजेतव्यो यथा वीरः सात्यकिर् यूपकेतुना ॥
अतीतानागतं राजन् स हि वेत्ति जनार्दनः ॥
अतः सूतं समाहूय दारुकं संदिदेश ह ॥
रथो मे युज्यतां काल्यम् इति राजन् महाबलः ॥
न हि देवा न गन्धर्वा न यक्षोरगराक्षसाः ॥
मानवा वा विजेतारः कृष्णयोः सन्ति के चन ॥
पितामहपुरोगाश् च देवाः सिद्धाश् च तं विदुः ॥
तयोः प्रभावम् अतुलं शृणु युद्धं च तद् यथा ॥
pūrvam eva hi kṛṣṇasya manogatam idaṃ prabho ||
vijetavyo yathā vīraḥ sātyakir yūpaketunā ||
atītānāgataṃ rājan sa hi vetti janārdanaḥ ||
ataḥ sūtaṃ samāhūya dārukaṃ saṃdideśa ha ||
ratho me yujyatāṃ kālyam iti rājan mahābalaḥ ||
na hi devā na gandharvā na yakṣoragarākṣasāḥ ||
mānavā vā vijetāraḥ kṛṣṇayoḥ santi ke cana ||
pitāmahapurogāś ca devāḥ siddhāś ca taṃ viduḥ ||
tayoḥ prabhāvam atulaṃ śṛṇu yuddhaṃ ca tad yathā ||
"For even before this, O lord, it was in Krishna's mind how the hero Satyaki might be overcome by Yupaketu [Bhurishravas]. Past and future, O king, Janardana indeed knows. Hence, having summoned the charioteer, he commanded Daruka: 'For neither gods, nor gandharvas, nor yakshas, serpents, rakshasas, nor men are there any victors over the two Krishnas.' And the gods, with the Grandsire foremost, and the siddhas, know this — the incomparable power of those two; hear that battle, as it was."

Krishna, who knows past and future, had already made provision for Satyaki through Daruka: the Lord's omniscience anticipates trouble before it comes. It is telling that the affirmation stands: the two Krishnas — Krishna and Arjuna — are unconquerable by anyone in any world. The verse teaches that the providence of the Lord forestalls events, preparing deliverance before the need arises; and one who stands under his protection is shielded by a strength that the gods themselves acknowledge, for their own invincibility rests in Him.
