त्वरया वासुदेवश् च धर्मराजश् च मारिष ॥
यत्नेन महता वीरौ वारयाम् आसतुस् ततः ॥
निवार्य परमेष्वासौ क्रोधसंरक्तलोचनौ ॥
युयुत्सवः परान् संख्ये प्रतीयुः क्षत्रियर्षभाः ॥

yuyutsavaḥ parān saṃkhye pratīyuḥ kṣatriyarṣabhāḥ ||
Hearing the words of the Panchalya, Satyaki, hissing like a serpent, held fast in the embrace of Bhima's arms, strained ceaselessly, mighty as he was. Swiftly Vasudeva and the king of dharma, O venerable one, with great effort, both heroes, restrained him then. Having restrained the two supreme archers, their eyes suffused with anger, the bulls among kshatriyas, eager for battle with the enemy, advanced.

Only by the combined effort of Bhima, Krishna, and Yudhishthira is the quarrel quenched, and the wrath of both finally turned where it belongs -- against the enemy. What stands out is that quelling the strife required the strength of several of the best of men at once: fury is hard to still, but it can be done through joint effort. The verse teaches that discord within one's own camp is overcome by the shared labor of the wise and the strong; and anger, drawn away from one's own and directed at the true adversary, turns from a destructive force into an effective one.
