अनुवाद

'The great forest, churned up by the king of wondrous valor and the warriors who loved battle, the great beasts abandoned. The herds of beasts, whose leaders had been slain, in scattered droves, in confusion, cried out everywhere. Exhausted from lack of water, having come to a dried-up river, their hearts worn out from running, senseless, they fell. Overcome by hunger and thirst, exhausted, fallen to the ground, some beasts were devoured by the famished tiger-like men. And others, forest-roaming men, having kindled a fire and built it up, ate the meat, duly carved, as was proper. There some maddened, powerful elephants, wounded by weapons, in fear, drawing in their trunks, fled swiftly; the wild, mighty elephants, voiding dung and urine, profusely streaming blood, trampled many people there. That forest, enveloped by the cloud of the army and the shower of arrows, full of buffaloes, where the king had slain the great beasts, shone terribly.'
