"Then the Grandsire, having heard that word of all, having pondered for a moment on the decision of what must be done, with their destruction in mind, summoned Vishvakarma; and, having seen Vishvakarma, the Grandsire, the great ascetic, commanded: 'Let a desirable woman be created here.'"

Here Providence plans to strike down evil with its own weapon. It is significant that Brahma, remembering the condition of the boon, prepares the brothers' destruction through discord: their own defense ("from each other alone") will become the trap. Here it is shown that the Lord overturns arrogance by its own means, without violating what was granted. Thus scripture reveals the wisdom of judgment; and the instrument chosen for it is not force but temptation, which parts the inseparable.
