क्षिप्तं क्षिप्तं रणे चैतत् त्वया माधव शत्रुषु ॥
हत्वाप्रतिहतं संख्ये पाणिम् एष्यति ते पुनः ॥

अनुवाद
Cast, again and again in battle, by you, O Madhava, against your foes, it will slay them, and unimpeded in combat, return again to your hand.

Here the discus reveals a wondrous property — to return to the Lord's hand. It is significant that, having slain the enemy, it returns of itself: the Lord's weapon never departs from Him and is never spent. Here is an image of the Lord's unceasing, irresistible will, ever at His side. Thus the scripture reveals the marvel of the Sudarshana; and the Lord's power does not diminish in action.
