Here love is called to submit to the good of the lineage. It is telling that the children warn their mother: "do not, for the lineage's ruin, show love" — attachment unrestrained by reason can destroy the very thing it loves. Herein is the truth that even love must be enlightened by dharma. Thus the scripture reveals the children's supreme concern for the lineage; and they place the continuation of the line above their own fate.
