मन्दाराणाम् उदाराणां वनानि सुरभीणि च ॥
सौगन्धिकानां चादाय गन्धान् गन्धवहः शुचिः ॥
नलिन्याश् चालकाख्यायाश् चन्दनानां वनस्य च ॥
मनोहृदयसंह्लादी वायुस् तम् उपसेवते ॥

अनुवाद
“The pure wind, having taken up the fragrances of the lofty, sweet-scented groves of mandara and saugandhika [lotuses], of the lotus pond called Alaka, and of the sandalwood grove — delighting mind and heart — serves him.”

Here the very element of wind becomes a servant, carrying fragrance. It is significant that nature willingly serves one who honors order: where blessing dwells, the elements too turn to delight. Thus the scripture shows creation's harmony with a righteous lord; and what follows are the heavenly singers.
