वैशंपायन उवाच
तस्मिन् संप्रस्थिते कृष्णा पृथां प्राप्य यशस्विनीम् ॥
आपृच्छद् भृशदुःखार्ता याश् चान्यास् तत्र योषितः ॥
यथार्हं वन्दनाश्लेषान् कृत्वा गन्तुम् इयेष सा ॥
ततो निनादः सुमहान् पाण्डवान्तःपुरे ऽभवत् ॥

ततो निनादः सु-महान् पाण्डव-अन्तःपुरे ऽभवत्tato ninādaḥ su-mahān pāṇḍava-antaḥpure 'bhavatand then a very great wail arose in the inner chambers of the Pandavas.

अनुवाद

When Yudhishthira set out, Krishna, coming to glorious Pritha, sorely afflicted with grief, took leave of her and of the other wives who were there. Having made bows and embraces as was fitting, she wished to go; and then a great wail arose in the inner chambers of the Pandavas.
