सुरपितृगणयक्षसेवितं; ह्य् असुरनिशाचरसिद्धवन्दितम् ॥
वरकनकहुताशनप्रभं; त्वम् अपि मनस्य् अभिधेहि भास्करम् ॥
सूर्योदये यस् तु समाहितः पठेत्; स पुत्रलाभं धनरत्नसंचयान् ॥
लभेत जातिस्मरतां सदा नरः; स्मृतिं च मेधां च स विन्दते पराम् ॥
इमं स्तवं देववरस्य यो नरः; प्रकीर्तयेच् छुचिसुमनाः समाहितः ॥
स मुच्यते शोकदवाग्निसागराल्; लभेत कामान् मनसा यथेप्सितान् ॥

labheta jātismaratāṃ sadā naraḥ; smṛtiṃ ca medhāṃ ca sa vindate parām ||
imaṃ stavaṃ devavarasya yo naraḥ; prakīrtayec chucisumanāḥ samāhitaḥ ||
sa mucyate śokadavāgnisāgarāl; labheta kāmān manasā yathepsitān ||

अनुवाद

'The Sun, served by hosts of gods, ancestors, and yakshas, worshipped by asuras, night-wanderers, and siddhas, shining like the finest gold and the sacrificial fire — him too you should call to mind, as Bhaskara. Whoever recites this with composure at sunrise obtains sons, wealth, treasures, memory of past births, and the highest memory and intellect. Whoever, with a pure and gathered mind, proclaims this hymn to the best of the gods is freed from the ocean of the wildfire of grief and obtains the desires he carries in his heart.'
