And the great lord Indra was pleased and granted a boon to Atharvangiras. And Indra said: 'You will be known as the rishi named Atharvangiras in the Atharvaveda, and you shall also receive a share in the sacrifices.' And having thus honored Atharvangiras, the great lord Indra, who had performed a hundred sacrifices, took leave of him, O great king. And he honored all the gods and all the sages rich in the wealth of austerity. And, O king, Indra, rejoicing, righteously ruled over his subjects. Such suffering did Indra undergo together with his wife. And in order to destroy his enemies, even he was compelled to live for a time in hiding. You should not take it to heart, O king of kings, that you have suffered together with Draupadi, as well as with your noble brothers, in the great forest.
