यदि ह्य् अग्निश् च वायुश् च धर्म इन्द्रो ऽश्विनाव् अपि ॥
कामयोगात् प्रवर्तेरन् न पार्था दुःखम् आप्नुयुः ॥
तस्मान् न भवता चिन्ता कार्यैषा स्यात् कदा चन ॥
दैवेष्व् अपेक्षका ह्य् एते शश्वद् भावेषु भारत ॥
अथ चेत् कामसंयोगाद् द्वेषाल् लोभाच् च लक्ष्यते ॥
देवेषु देवप्रामाण्यं नैव तद् विक्रमिष्यति ॥
मयाभिमन्त्रितः शश्वज् जातवेदाः प्रशंसति ॥
दिधक्षुः सकलांल् लोकान् परिक्षिप्य समन्ततः ॥
यद् वा परमकं तेजो येन युक्ता दिवौकसः ॥
ममाप्य् अनुपमं भूयो देवेभ्यो विद्धि भारत ॥

mayābhimantritaḥ śaśvaj jātavedāḥ praśaṃsati ||
didhakṣuḥ sakalāṃl lokān parikṣipya samantataḥ ||
yad vā paramakaṃ tejo yena yuktā divaukasaḥ ||
mamāpy anupamaṃ bhūyo devebhyo viddhi bhārata ||

अनुवाद

Indeed, it does not leave me. Indeed, it seems as though I see it with my own eye. This conviction is not a matter of inference. All created beings show great affection for their offspring and do, as far as they are able, what is pleasing and beneficial to them. This can commonly be seen also in the case of benefactors. The good always wish to repay the good done to them and to do what is most pleasing to those who have helped them. Remembering what was done for him at Khandava, Agni will, without doubt, come to Arjuna's aid in this dreadful clash of the Kurus and the Pandavas.
