अयं ते पुण्डरीकाक्ष दुःशासनकरोद्धृतः ॥
स्मर्तव्यः सर्वकालेषु परेषां संधिम् इच्छता ॥
यदि भीमार्जुनौ कृष्ण कृपणौ संधिकामुकौ ॥
पिता मे योत्स्यते वृद्धः सह पुत्रैर् महारथैः ॥
पञ्च चैव महावीर्याः पुत्रा मे मधुसूदन ॥
अभिमन्युं पुरस्कृत्य योत्स्यन्ति कुरुभिः सह ॥
दुःशासनभुजं श्यामं संछिन्नं पांसुगुण्ठितम् ॥
यद्य् अहं तं न पश्यामि का शान्तिर् हृदयस्य मे ॥
त्रयोदश हि वर्षाणि प्रतीक्षन्त्या गतानि मे ॥
निधाय हृदये मन्युं प्रदीप्तम् इव पावकम् ॥

ayaṃ te puṇḍarīkākṣa duḥśāsanakaroddhṛtaḥ ||
smartavyaḥ sarvakāleṣu pareṣāṃ saṃdhim icchatā ||
yadi bhīmārjunau kṛṣṇa kṛpaṇau saṃdhikāmukau ||
pitā me yotsyate vṛddhaḥ saha putrair mahārathaiḥ ||
pañca caiva mahāvīryāḥ putrā me madhusūdana ||
abhimanyuṃ puraskṛtya yotsyanti kurubhiḥ saha ||
duḥśāsanabhujaṃ śyāmaṃ saṃchinnaṃ pāṃsuguṇṭhitam ||
yady ahaṃ taṃ na paśyāmi kā śāntir hṛdayasya me ||
trayodaśa hi varṣāṇi pratīkṣantyā gatāni me ||
nidhāya hṛdaye manyuṃ pradīptam iva pāvakam ||

अनुवाद

They will urge the ruler of men, Dhritarashtra, and the sinful-natured Suyodhana, and his counselors, to act in accordance with wise counsel. When you, O Janardana, are the speaker and Vidura the listener, what matter cannot be set forth smoothly and clearly?'
