अनुवाद

Vaishampayana said: 'Having heard the king's words of peace, filled with both virtue and advantage, Krishna, the daughter of King Drupada, with her long black locks, seized by great sorrow, applauding Sahadeva and that mighty chariot-warrior Satyaki, turned to Madhava, who was seated beside him. O slayer of Madhu, you know, O mighty one, by what deceit, O righteous one, the son of Dhritarashtra, together with his counselors, deprived the Pandavas, O Janardana, of their happiness. You also know, O scion of the Dasharha race, what message was privately conveyed to Sanjaya by the king. You have also heard all that was said to Sanjaya, O glorious one. The words were even these: "Let only five villages be granted to us, namely..." But, O Krishna, O scion of the Dasharha race, having heard these words of Yudhishthira, endowed with modesty and desiring peace, Suyodhana did nothing in accordance with them.'
