विधिवद् व्यूह्य मेधावी युद्धाय धृतमानसः ॥
यथादिष्टान्य् अनीकानि पाण्डवानाम् अयोजयत् ॥
जयाय पाण्डुपुत्राणां यत्तस् तस्थौ रणाजिरे ॥
dhṛṣṭadyumno maheṣvāsaḥ senāpatipatis tataḥ ||
vidhivad vyūhya medhāvī yuddhāya dhṛtamānasaḥ ||
yathādiṣṭāny anīkāni pāṇḍavānām ayojayat ||
jayāya pāṇḍuputrāṇāṃ yattas tasthau raṇājire ||
Then the great archer Dhrishtadyumna, chief among the commanders, wise and firmly resolved for battle, drew up the army as prescribed by rule. He arranged the formations of the Pandavas according to their assignments and, intent on his purpose, took his stand on the field of battle for the victory of the sons of Pandu.
