संजय उवाच
इत्य् अहं वासुदेवस्य पार्थस्य च महात्मनः ॥
संवादम् इमम् अश्रौषम् अद्भुतं रोमहर्षणम् ॥
व्यासप्रसादाच् छ्रुतवान् एतद् गुह्यम् अहं परम् ॥
योगं योगेश्वरात् कृष्णात् साक्षात् कथयतः स्वयम् ॥
राजन् संस्मृत्य संस्मृत्य संवादम् इमम् अद्भुतम् ॥
केशवार्जुनयोः पुण्यं हृष्यामि च मुहुर् मुहुः ॥
तच् च संस्मृत्य संस्मृत्य रूपम् अत्यद्भुतं हरेः ॥
विस्मयो मे महान् राजन् हृष्यामि च पुनः पुनः ॥
यत्र योगेश्वरः कृष्णो यत्र पार्थो धनुर्धरः ॥
तत्र श्रीर् विजयो भूतिर् ध्रुवा नीतिर् मतिर् मम ॥

rājan saṃsmṛtya saṃsmṛtya saṃvādam imam adbhutam ||
keśavārjunayoḥ puṇyaṃ hṛṣyāmi ca muhur muhuḥ ||
tac ca saṃsmṛtya saṃsmṛtya rūpam atyadbhutaṃ hareḥ ||
vismayo me mahān rājan hṛṣyāmi ca punaḥ punaḥ ||
yatra yogeśvaraḥ kṛṣṇo yatra pārtho dhanurdharaḥ ||
tatra śrīr vijayo bhūtir dhruvā nītir matir mama ||

इत्य् अहं वासुदेवस्यity ahaṃ vāsudevasyathus I, of Vasudeva; thus, I of Vasudeva
पार्थस्य च महात्मनःpārthasya ca mahātmanaḥand of the great-souled Partha; and of Partha, the great soul
संवादम् इमम् अश्रौषम्saṃvādam imam aśrauṣamheard this conversation; I listened to this dialogue
अद्भुतं रोमहर्षणम्adbhutaṃ romaharṣaṇamwondrous, hair-raising; marvelous, awe-inspiring
व्यासप्रसादाच् छ्रुतवान्vyāsaprasādāc chrutavānheard by the grace of Vyasa; listened to by Vyasa's favor
एतद् गुह्यम् अहं परम्etad guhyam ahaṃ paramI, this supreme secret; this highest hidden truth
योगं योगेश्वरात् कृष्णात्yogaṃ yogeśvarāt kṛṣṇātthe yoga from Krishna, the Lord of yoga; the teaching from Krishna, Yogeshvara
साक्षात् कथयतः स्वयम्sākṣāt kathayataḥ svayamspeaking Himself directly; expounding it personally
राजन् संस्मृत्य संस्मृत्यrājan saṃsmṛtya saṃsmṛtyaO king, recalling again and again; remembering repeatedly
संवादम् इमम् अद्भुतम्saṃvādam imam adbhutamthis wondrous conversation; this marvelous dialogue
केशवार्जुनयोः पुण्यंkeśavārjunayoḥ puṇyaṃthe sacred [dialogue] of Keshava and Arjuna; the blessed conversation of Keshava with Arjuna
हृष्यामि च मुहुर् मुहुःhṛṣyāmi ca muhur muhuḥand I rejoice again and again; I exult over and over
तच् च संस्मृत्य संस्मृत्यtac ca saṃsmṛtya saṃsmṛtyaand recalling this again; remembering it again and again
रूपम् अत्यद्भुतं हरेःrūpam atyadbhutaṃ hareḥthe exceedingly wondrous form of Hari; the great marvelous manifestation of Hari
विस्मयो मे महान् राजन्vismayo me mahān rājanmy astonishment is great, O king; I feel great wonder
हृष्यामि च पुनः पुनःhṛṣyāmi ca punaḥ punaḥand I rejoice again and again; I exult again and again
यत्र योगेश्वरः कृष्णोyatra yogeśvaraḥ kṛṣṇowhere Krishna, the Lord of yoga, is; there, where Krishna Yogeshvara is
यत्र पार्थो धनुर्धरःyatra pārtho dhanurdharaḥwhere Partha, the bowman, is; there, where Arjuna with his bow is
तत्र श्रीर् विजयो भूतिर्tatra śrīr vijayo bhūtirthere are prosperity, victory, and abundance; there are glory, victory, and might
ध्रुवा नीतिर् मतिर् ममdhruvā nītir matir mamaand firm righteousness — this is my view; unshakable order, such is my judgment
अनुवाद

Sanjaya said: 'Thus I heard this wondrous, hair-raising conversation of Vasudeva and the great-souled Partha. By the grace of Vyasa I heard this supreme secret — the yoga which Krishna Himself, the Lord of yoga, expounded directly. O king, remembering again and again this sacred and wondrous dialogue of Keshava and Arjuna, I rejoice again and again. And remembering again the exceedingly wondrous form of Hari, I feel great astonishment, O king, and rejoice again and again. Wherever Krishna, the Lord of yoga, is, and wherever Partha, the bowman, is, there, in my judgment, prosperity, victory, abundance, and firm righteousness surely abide.'
