फाल्गुनिर् द्वितां ध्ये विव्या मेषुणा
पायित्वा कृस्याश्वांस् थोभौ पार्ष्णिसाथी
थैनं भिर् बाणैः प्रत्यविध्यत् स्तनान्तरे
तो वृन्दाकं वीरं कुरूणां कीर्तिर्धनम्
पुत्राणां वीराणां श्यताम् धीद् ली

अनुवाद

He, the son of Phalguna, in the midst of foes, wounded Karna in the ear with a sharp gilded karni arrow, an excellent shaft. Having struck down Kripa's horses and both flanking charioteers, he then wounded him with ten arrows in the chest. Then the mighty one slew the warrior Vrindaraka, increaser of the Kurus' glory, before the eyes of your warrior sons.
