भीमसेनस्य राधेयः श्रुत्वा ज्यातलनिस्वनम् ॥
नामृष्यत यथा मत्तो गजः प्रतिगजस्वनम् ॥
अपक्रम्य स भीमस्य मुहूर्तं शरगोचरात् ॥
तव चाधिरथिर् दृष्ट्वा स्यन्दनेभ्यश् च्युतान् सुतान् ॥
भीमसेनेन निहतान् विमना दुःखितो ऽभवत् ॥
निःश्वसन् दीर्घम् उष्णं च पुनः पाण्डवम् अभ्ययात् ॥

bhīmasenasya rādheyaḥ śrutvā jyātalanisvanam ||
nāmṛṣyata yathā matto gajaḥ pratigajasvanam ||
apakramya sa bhīmasya muhūrtaṃ śaragocarāt ||
tava cādhirathir dṛṣṭvā syandanebhyaś cyutān sutān ||
bhīmasenena nihatān vimanā duḥkhito 'bhavat ||
niḥśvasan dīrgham uṣṇaṃ ca punaḥ pāṇḍavam abhyayāt ||

मुहूर्तम् शरगोचरात्muhūrtam śaragocarāt[for] a moment, [from] arrow-range; for a moment, from the range of arrows
तव च आधिरथिः दृष्ट्वाtava ca ādhirathiḥ dṛṣṭvāand your [sons], Adhirathi having seen; and the son of Adhiratha, having seen your [sons]

अनुवाद

Radheya, hearing the twang of Bhimasena's bowstring and the clap of his palm, could not bear it, like a furious elephant enraged at the roar of a rival elephant. Withdrawing for a moment from the range of Bhima's arrows, and seeing your sons, fallen from their chariots, slain by Bhimasena, the son of Adhiratha grew downcast and sorrowful; sighing long and hot, he advanced once more toward the Pandava.
