अनुवाद

"If only the learned, unworthy brahmins, discontented with their own duty, had not fought, kshatriyahood would not have gone to ruin. Non-violence toward all beings they know as the higher dharma; and its root is the brahmin, and you are the foremost knower of Brahman. Having slain, like a chandala, hosts of mlecchas and others, sundry and ignorant, like a fool, O brahmin, out of desire for son, wife, and wealth; having slain many for the sake of one, for a son's sake, like one who knows not dharma — you, fixed in wrong action against those who stand in their own duty, how do you not feel shame? And he lies fallen today — the king of dharma, when asked, declared this to you; you ought not doubt that word too greatly."
