译文

"Having discerned the strength and wisdom of both, Drupada courted the younger one, Upayaja, firm in his vow, alone, tempting him with gifts; assiduous in serving his feet, sweet-spoken, granting every wish, having duly honored him, he said to Upayaja: 'By that rite, O brahman, by which I might have a son for Drona's death — when you perform it, Upayaja, I will give you a hundred million cows; or whatever else would be most dear to your heart, all of it I will give — I have no doubt of this.'"
