译文

The brahman said: "Indignant King Drupada, seeking bulls among brahmans skilled in the rites, went about many brahman dwellings. Yearning for the birth of a son, his mind stricken with grief, he thought constantly: 'I have no worthy offspring'; in despair he said of the sons already born: 'Shame on these kinsmen!' — and, full of deep sighs, he longed to repay Drona. Pondering Drona's might, training, learning, and deeds, and his kshatriya strength, the best of kings, though he strove, found no means of revenge, O Bharata."
