तं विक्रमं पाण्डवेयान् अतीत्य कः अन्यः कर्ता विद्यते मानुषेषुtaṃ vikramaṃ pāṇḍaveyān atītya kaḥ anyaḥ kartā vidyate mānuṣeṣuthat valor which surpasses all except the Pandavas — who else among men is capable of displaying it?

Here the Lord shows that true greatness cannot be hidden. Significant is the saying: "even a hidden fire is recognized" — power and valor, like flame beneath ash, show through any covering; by the very deed one is known who accomplished it. The devoted and the great cannot be hidden from the eye of one who knows: deeds betray what is concealed. Also significant is Krishna's joy at their deliverance: He, as one who loves, rejoices that His people have escaped destruction. Thus the scripture reveals both the Lord's omniscience and His love; and Krishna, recognizing His own by their deed, rejoices in their deliverance.
