खेचराण्य् अपि भूतानि जिग्यतुस् तीव्रविक्रमौ ॥
अन्तर्भूमिगतान् नागाञ् जित्वा तौ च महासुरौ ॥
समुद्रवासिनः सर्वान् म्लेच्छजातीन् विजिग्यतुः ॥

Here the power of evil extends over all three worlds. It is telling that heaven, the netherworld, and the seacoast alike are conquered: violence unrestrained by anything seizes everything. Here is revealed that power without the rein of dharma spreads without limit, trampling all before it. Thus the scripture shows the all-encompassing conquest of the asuras; and the universe groans beneath their heel.
