एषा सभा मया राजन् दृष्टा पुष्करमालिनी ॥
शतक्रतोर् महाराज याम्यां शृणु ममानघ ॥

Here the account of the first celestial hall concludes, and the gaze turns to the abode of Yama — lord of the departed. It is significant that after the hall of bliss the narrative moves to the hall of judgment: behind the heaven of pleasure stands the heaven of reckoning. Thus the scripture leads the mind from joy to accountability; and next the hall of Yama will unfold.
