译文
Narada said: “The hall of Vaishravana [Kubera], O king, a hundred yojanas long and seventy yojanas wide, shining white; it was created by the austerity of Vaishravana himself, moon-radiant among the sky-going [abodes], resembling the peak of Kailasa.”

Here even the abode of the lord of riches is won by austerity, not by gold alone. It is significant that Kubera, the giver of treasures, built his hall through tapas: even wealth, to become worthy, must be sanctified by self-discipline. Thus the scripture shows austerity as the foundation of abundance as well; and what follows unveils the hall's heavenly beauty.
