译文

‘I told you before, when your son had just been born: “Abandon this son, harmful to the family.” That would have been good for you, but you did not do it. If even now you do not accept what is beneficial, you will grieve later. If your son agrees to live in a single kingdom at peace with the Pandavas, you will have no burning grief. But if he does not accept this, restrain him together with his allies and set the son of Pandu upon the throne. Let Ajatashatru, free from passion, rule this earth by dharma; then all kings will come to serve us like vaishyas. Let Duryodhana, Shakuni, and the charioteer's son embrace the sons of Pandu with love; let Duhshasana beg forgiveness of Bhimasena and of the daughter of Drupada in the midst of the assembly. Console Yudhishthira and, honoring him, establish him in the kingdom. You asked me: what more should I say? Having done this, you will have fulfilled your duty, O king.’
