जनमेजय उवाच
प्रभासतीर्थं संप्राप्य वृष्णयः पाण्डवास् तथा ॥
किम् अकुर्वन् कथाश् चैषां कास् तत्रासंस् तपोधन ॥
ते हि सर्वे महात्मानः सर्वशास्त्रविशारदाः ॥
वृष्णयः पाण्डवाश् चैव सुहृदश् च परस्परम् ॥
वैशंपायन उवाच
प्रभासतीर्थं संप्राप्य पुण्यं तीर्थं महोदधेः ॥
वृष्णयः पाण्डवान् वीरान् परिवार्योपतस्थिरे ॥
ततो गोक्षीरकुन्देन्दुमृणालरजतप्रभः ॥
वनमाली हली रामो बभाषे पुष्करेक्षणम् ॥
janamejaya uvāca
prabhāsatīrthaṃ saṃprāpya vṛṣṇayaḥ pāṇḍavās tathā ||
kim akurvan kathāś caiṣāṃ kās tatrāsaṃs tapodhana ||
te hi sarve mahātmānaḥ sarvaśāstraviśāradāḥ ||
vṛṣṇayaḥ pāṇḍavāś caiva suhṛdaś ca parasparam ||
vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca
prabhāsatīrthaṃ saṃprāpya puṇyaṃ tīrthaṃ mahodadheḥ ||
vṛṣṇayaḥ pāṇḍavān vīrān parivāryopatasthire ||
tato gokṣīrakundendumṛṇālarajataprabhaḥ ||
vanamālī halī rāmo babhāṣe puṣkarekṣaṇam ||
Janamejaya said: "What did the Vrishnis and the Pandavas do upon reaching Prabhasa-tirtha? And what conversations did they have there, O rich in austerity? For all of them were great souls, versed in every shastra; the Vrishnis and the Pandavas were friends to one another." Vaishampayana said: "Having reached Prabhasa-tirtha, the holy tirtha of the great ocean, the Vrishnis surrounded the heroic Pandavas and stood before them. Then Rama, shining like cow's milk, jasmine, the moon, lotus fiber and silver, wearing a forest garland and bearing a plow, spoke to the lotus-eyed one."
