यो दीर्घबाहुः क्षिप्रास्त्रो धृतिमान् सत्यविक्रमः ॥
तेन वो वृष्णिवीरेण युयुधानेन संगरः ॥
य आसीच् छरणं काले पाण्डवानां महात्मनाम् ॥
रणे तेन विराटेन पाण्डवा अभ्ययुञ्जत ॥
यः स काशिपती राजा वाराणस्यां महारथः ॥
स तेषाम् अभवद् योद्धा तेन वस् ते ऽभ्ययुञ्जत ॥
शिशुभिर् दुर्जयैः संख्ये द्रौपदेयैर् महात्मभिः ॥
आशीविषसमस्पर्शैः पाण्डवा अभ्ययुञ्जत ॥
यः कृष्णसदृशो वीर्ये युधिष्ठिरसमो दमे ॥
तेनाभिमन्युना संख्ये पाण्डवा अभ्ययुञ्जत ॥

tenābhimanyunā saṃkhye pāṇḍavā abhyayuñjata ||
Even there, Bhima, the illustrious Partha, and the twins met the Gandharvas and defeated them. Ever handsome, and ever heedless of both virtue and gain, O bull of the Bharata race, this is the great abundance of false things, blessed as you are, that this man utters.' 'Having heard these words of Bhishma, the great-souled son of Bharadvaja, paying due respect to Dhritarashtra and the assembled kings, addressed him with these words: Do, O king, what Bhishma, the best of the Bharatas, has said. It is not fitting for you to act according to the words of those who covet wealth. Peace with the Pandavas, before war breaks out, appears to be the best course. What Arjuna said, and what Sanjaya has repeated here, I know will be carried out by this son of Pandu, for there is no archer equal to him in the three worlds!'
