译文

And all the kings of the earth, as well as all the Kurus, seeing that Keshava had arrived at this assembly, bowed to him as was fitting. And as this scourge of enemies, this conqueror of hostile cities, this hero of the Dashariha line sat there, he saw the rishis whom he had seen while journeying to Hastinapura, remaining in the vault of heaven. And, seeing these rishis with Narada at their head, he of the Dashariha line slowly addressed Bhishma, son of Shantanu, saying: 'O king, the rishis have come to see our earthly assembly. Invite them, offering seats, and with great courtesy, for if they do not sit, no one here will be able to take his own seat. Therefore, let due honor be offered to these rishis as swiftly as possible, with souls under proper control.' And, seeing the rishis at the gate of the palace, the son of Shantanu quickly ordered his attendants to bring seats for them. And soon they brought large and beautiful seats, embroidered with gold and adorned with precious stones.
