译文

"Blessed are you, O Naga; let Sumukha come with me into the presence of the Lord of the gods." So saying, they took Sumukha with them, and all four, endowed with great splendor, coming to heaven, beheld Shakra, chief of the gods, seated in all his glory. And it so happened that the illustrious four-armed Vishnu was also present there. Then Narada laid before them the whole story of Matali and his choice." Kanva continued: "Having heard all that Narada said, Vishnu directed Purandara, Lord of the universe, saying: "Let Amrita be given to this young man, and let him become immortal like the gods themselves. Let Matali, Narada, and Sumukha, O Vasava, have their cherished wish fulfilled by your grace." But Purandara, reflecting on the might of the son of Vinata, said to Vishnu: "May you yourself grant him the Amrita."
