उद्यतो ऽहं द्विजश्रेष्ठ तव दर्शयितुं दिशः ॥
पृथिवीं चाखिलां ब्रह्मंस् तस्माद् आरोह मां द्विज ॥

译文
Those who are destined to go here after death will encounter a dense darkness. And so thick is this darkness that neither the Sun itself nor Agni can penetrate it. However worthy of worship you may be, even you will have to travel this road. Tell me now whether you wish to set out in this direction. Otherwise, hear the account of the western direction.'
