译文

"'Richika said, "So be it," went to the abode of Varuna, obtained horses at Ashvatirtha, and gave them to the ruler. Having performed the Pundarika sacrifice, that king distributed them among the twice-born; then the lords of the earth bought two hundred of these horses each from them. And another four hundred, O best of the twice-born, were carried away by the Vitasta as they were being led across the ford. Therefore, O Galava, it is never possible to obtain the unattainable. Give this maiden to Vishvamitra, O righteous one, for two hundred horses together with the six hundred you already have. Then you will be freed from delusion and will have accomplished your task, O bull among the twice-born.' Galava said to him, 'So be it,' and then, together with Suparna, taking the horses and the maiden, came to Vishvamitra."
