译文

'"…with his mace that slays heroes as time ripens fruit upon a tree, let the slaughter cease. While Nakula, Sahadeva, Dhrishtadyumna the son of Prishata, Virata, Shikhandin, and the son of Shishupala, clad in armor, have not yet plunged in like crocodiles into the great ocean, skilled in arms and swiftly hurling their weapons, let the slaughter cease. While fearsome arrows fletched with vulture feathers have not yet fallen upon the tender bodies of the lords of the earth, let the slaughter cease. While the great arrows, swiftly loosed by skilled and mighty archers, far-flying, iron, and unerring in aim, have not yet fallen upon the chests of warriors anointed with sandal and aloe, wearing necklaces and golden ornaments…"'
