महर्षीणां भृगुर् अहं गिराम् अस्म्य् एकम् अक्षरम् ॥
यज्ञानां जपयज्ञो ऽस्मि स्थावराणां हिमालयः ॥
अश्वत्थः सर्ववृक्षाणां देवर्षीणां च नारदः ॥
गन्धर्वाणां चित्ररथः सिद्धानां कपिलो मुनिः ॥
उच्चैःश्रवसम् अश्वानां विद्धि माम् अमृतोद्भवम् ॥
ऐरावतं गजेन्द्राणां नराणां च नराधिपम् ॥
आयुधानाम् अहं वज्रं धेनूनाम् अस्मि कामधुक् ॥
प्रजनश् चास्मि कन्दर्पः सर्पाणाम् अस्मि वासुकिः ॥
अनन्तश् चास्मि नागानां वरुणो यादसाम् अहम् ॥
पितॄणाम् अर्यमा चास्मि यमः संयमताम् अहम् ॥
प्रह्लादश् चास्मि दैत्यानां कालः कलयताम् अहम् ॥
मृगाणां च मृगेन्द्रो ऽहं वैनतेयश् च पक्षिणाम् ॥
पवनः पवताम् अस्मि रामः शस्त्रभृताम् अहम् ॥
झषाणां मकरश् चास्मि स्रोतसाम् अस्मि जाह्नवी ॥

āyudhānām ahaṃ vajraṃ dhenūnām asmi kāmadhuk ||
prajanaś cāsmi kandarpaḥ sarpāṇām asmi vāsukiḥ ||
anantaś cāsmi nāgānāṃ varuṇo yādasām aham ||
pitṝṇām aryamā cāsmi yamaḥ saṃyamatām aham ||
prahlādaś cāsmi daityānāṃ kālaḥ kalayatām aham ||
mṛgāṇāṃ ca mṛgendro 'haṃ vainateyaś ca pakṣiṇām ||
pavanaḥ pavatām asmi rāmaḥ śastrabhṛtām aham ||
jhaṣāṇāṃ makaraś cāsmi srotasām asmi jāhnavī ||
"Among the great sages I am Bhrigu; among sounds, the single syllable; among sacrifices, the sacrifice of japa; among the unmoving, the Himalayas. Among all trees I am the ashvattha; among the divine sages, Narada; among the gandharvas, Chitraratha; among the perfected, the sage Kapila. Among horses, know Me as Uchchaihshravas, born of nectar; among the lords of elephants, Airavata, and among men, the king. Among weapons I am the vajra; among cows, Kamadhuk; among procreators, Kandarpa; among serpents, Vasuki. Among nagas I am Ananta; among the water-dwellers, Varuna; among the ancestors, Aryaman; among restrainers, Yama. Among the daityas I am Prahlada; among reckoners, time; among beasts, the lion, and among birds, Garuda. Among purifiers I am the wind; among wielders of weapons, Rama; among water-creatures, the makara, and among streams, the Ganga."
