Shri Bhagavan said: "This form of Mine that you have seen is exceedingly hard to behold; even the gods are ever longing to see it. Not by the Vedas, not by austerity, not by gifts, not by sacrifice can I be seen in this form as you have seen Me. But through undivided devotion, O Arjuna, I can be known in truth in this form, seen, and entered into, O scorcher of foes. Whoever acts for My sake, holds Me as the highest goal, is My devotee, is free from attachment, and bears no enmity toward any being — that one comes to Me, O Pandava."

The final word of the chapter brings the whole vision back to bhakti. The universal form cannot be reached by ordinary religious merit; entry into the truth of Krishna comes through undivided devotion, action done for His sake, and freedom from enmity.
