译文

Then Gautama, the finest of chariot-warriors, took up another bow and, enraged, pierced Bhima with ten sharp arrows. Bhima, wounded by a multitude of arrows like a great elephant by goads, grew angry; the mighty-armed and mighty one struck Gautama with many arrows in the fight. Then Bhima, shining like Kala the Ender, sent Saindhava's horses and his charioteer to the realm of death with three arrows. The great chariot-warrior Saindhava swiftly leapt down from his horseless chariot and began hurling sharp arrows at Bhimasena in the fight. But Bhima, O Bharata, cut through the middle the bow of noble Saindhava with two bhallas. Deprived of his bow and chariot, his horses and charioteer slain, he hastily mounted the chariot of Chitrasena, O king. There the Pandava performed a most wondrous feat in battle: having pierced and held back the great chariot-warriors, he made Saindhava chariotless before the eyes of the whole world.
