译文

"[Only] when the Pandavas have been slain by you in the great battle will I, having asked leave of Duryodhana, withdraw into the forest, O Kaurava. Or, if Bhishma is slain by the Pandavas [and] you ascend to heaven — I alone, with my own one chariot, shall slay all those whom you deem [great] chariot-warriors." Having said this, O great king, the greatly renowned Karna did not fight for ten days — with the consent of your son.
