译文

And the Panchala prince Vyaghradatta struck Drona with fifty sharp arrows, O king — at which all cried out in joy. And Simhasena, having in an instant struck Drona, that mighty chariot-warrior, suddenly burst into laughter, rejoicing, as though to frighten Drona, steadfast in his vows. Then, widening his eyes, stroking his bowstring, and letting out a great slap of his palm, Drona charged at him. And then the mighty Drona, falling upon them, with two broad-headed arrows struck off the head of Simhasena — still wearing its earrings — from his trunk, and likewise the head of Vyaghradatta.
