Krishna crowns the day of victory with the trumpet-call of Panchajanya: the joy of truth accomplished resounds over the field. It is telling that a chapter on the vanity of earthly glory ends in the Lord's rejoicing among His own: the triumph lies not in the spoils, but in duty fulfilled and in union with those close to Him. The verse teaches that true joy is not in the fruits of victory scattered as dust across the field, but in a righteous deed accomplished and in shared rejoicing with the Lord; and the voice of His conch proclaims not gain, but the triumph of dharma.
