The chapter closes with a definition of Krishna: "devoted to the welfare of Dhananjaya, ever intent on pleasing him." It is telling that the Supreme is here called a devotee -- the Lord serves His devotee. The verse teaches the reciprocity of divine love: as the devotee serves God, so God cares for the devotee; and in this mutual service lies the secret of the relationship between the Lord and the one who loves Him, where the greatest becomes the support and servant of the small out of love.
