लोमश उवाच
एषा देवनदी पुण्या कौशिकी भरतर्षभ ॥
विश्वामित्राश्रमो रम्य एष चात्र प्रकाशते ॥
आश्रमश् चैव पुण्याख्यः काश्यपस्य महात्मनः ॥
ऋश्यशृङ्गः सुतो यस्य तपस्वी संयतेन्द्रियः ॥
तपसो यः प्रभावेन वर्षयाम् आस वासवम् ॥
अनावृष्ट्यां भयाद् यस्य ववर्ष बलवृत्रहा ॥
मृग्यां जातः स तेजस्वी काश्यपस्य सुतः प्रभुः ॥
विषये लोमपादस्य यश् चकाराद्भुतं महत् ॥
निवर्तितेषु सस्येषु यस्मै शान्तां ददौ नृपः ॥
लोमपादो दुहितरं सावित्रीं सविता यथा ॥
lomaśa uvāca

viśvāmitrāśramo ramya eṣa cātra prakāśate ||
āśramaś caiva puṇyākhyaḥ kāśyapasya mahātmanaḥ ||
ṛśyaśṛṅgaḥ suto yasya tapasvī saṃyatendriyaḥ ||
tapaso yaḥ prabhāvena varṣayām āsa vāsavam ||
anāvṛṣṭyāṃ bhayād yasya vavarṣa balavṛtrahā ||
mṛgyāṃ jātaḥ sa tejasvī kāśyapasya sutaḥ prabhuḥ ||
viṣaye lomapādasya yaś cakārādbhutaṃ mahat ||
nivartiteṣu sasyeṣu yasmai śāntāṃ dadau nṛpaḥ ||
lomapādo duhitaraṃ sāvitrīṃ savitā yathā ||
Lomasha said: 'Here is the holy, divine river Kaushiki, O best of the Bharatas; here shines the beautiful ashram of Vishvamitra. Here too is the holy, renowned ashram of the great Kashyapa. His son Rishyashringa, an ascetic with subdued senses, compelled Vasava by the power of his austerity to send rain; during a drought, the mighty slayer of Vritra, out of fear of him, gave rain. This radiant lord, the son of Kashyapa, born of a doe, performed a great wonder in the domain of Lomapada. When the crops had been restored, King Lomapada gave him his daughter Shanta, just as Savitar gives away Savitri.'
