Translation

Yudhishthira said: "I do not grieve so much for myself, great sage, nor for my brothers and the loss of the kingdom, as for this daughter of Drupada. At dice wicked men tormented us, and Krishna saved us; then Jayadratha again forcibly carried her off from the forest. Has there ever been a woman, seen before or heard of, as devoted to her husband and as blessed as this daughter of Drupada?" Markandeya said: "Hear, king, of the great good fortune of women of noble family, Yudhishthira, of how all this was attained by the princess Savitri."
