Translation

'Having abandoned, without remainder, all the desires that arise from intentions, and having fully restrained the whole assembly of the senses with the mind alone, let him gradually grow still, guided by the buddhi held firm in steadfastness. Having made the mind rest in the atman, let him think of nothing else. Wherever the restless, unsteady mind wanders, let him restrain it each time and bring it back under the control of the atman. To such a yogi, whose mind is at peace, comes supreme happiness: his rajas stilled, he has become Brahman and is free of stain. Thus always uniting himself, the yogi free from stain easily attains contact with Brahman and tastes supreme happiness. With the self united by yoga and seeing equally everywhere, he beholds the atman abiding in all beings, and all beings in the atman. He from whom I do not vanish, and who does not vanish for Me — he sees Me everywhere and sees everything in Me. He who worships Me as abiding in all beings, established in oneness, that yogi abides in Me, whatever way of life he follows. O Arjuna, that yogi is held to be supreme who, by likeness to himself, sees everywhere alike, whether happiness or suffering.'
