तयोः संवदतोर् एव कृष्णदारुकयोस् तदा ॥
सात्यगाद् रजनी राजन्न् अथ राजान्वबुध्यत ॥
पठन्ति पाणिस्वनिका मागधा मधुपर्किकाः ॥
वैतालिकाश् च सूताश् च तुष्टुवुः पुरुषर्षभम् ॥

Translation
While the two — Krishna and Daruka — were conversing, that night passed, O king; and then the king awoke. The hand-clapping [singers] proclaim, and the magadhas, offerers of honeyed drink, and the vaitalikas, and the sutas extolled the bull among men.

A night of anxious deliberation and prayer gives way to dawn, and the new day itself opens with praise. It is telling that while the Lord in the dark was arranging the victory of his friend, the world moves on in its own order: "atyagāt rajanī… rājā anvabudhyata", the night passed, the king awoke. Praise at waking is the ancient custom of a pious life. The verse teaches that even in days of the greatest trial the sacred order of the day is not broken: dawn follows a sleepless night, and it befits the righteous to meet it not in agitation but in the dignity of established custom.
